Hey jim. I read that t4 has has a horrible damaging effect on the thyroid that in some cases may not be reversable...do you know anything about this?

Altering thyroid function is a very powerful [albeit potentially dangerous] method of altering body composition. While products like ECA and clen are beta-agonists, thyroid is the real deal; it actually cranks your metabolism up... this means your heart beats faster, you burn more calories, etc.
The info about the T4 & T3 half-life ratings above is accurate, but the important thing to know about thyroid function is that T3 is the "real" chemical messenger in the metabolic process. T4 is the body's "building blocks" for T3. That is, when the body detects lagging T3 levels it converts its store of T4 into T3. Logically, you should take T3 if you want to break through the natural thyroid limits imposed by your genetics. T4 will only help if you have deficient levels of T4 itself - taking an excess of T4 is ineffective.
Of course, there are better (safer) ways to lose body fat - dieting, ECA, and clen all come to mind. Damaging the function of the thyroid is potentially life-threatening - the thyroid/pituitary gland/hypothalamus are all linked and control rather important things in your body, such as the rate of your heartbeat. Yeah... pretty scary. Whatever you decide, do your research and don't waste your money/time on ineffective crap that you read about in the glossy mags.

My wife is on T-4 (synthroid) so she can't take T-3. She has tried to take clen but gets sick on 2 or 3 a day. Can she lower the dosages (1/2 or 1 pill a day) and see some results?

Just my two-cents on this one - Synthroid is already accelerating her metabolism. 1-2 or even three tabs clen won't have any effect at all with the exception of insomnia and an increased heart rate... not worth it at all. Why's she on the T4 - just for weight loss or an actual thyroid dysfunction? if it's just esthetics, I'd consider hGH - I've been getting pretty good results so far. Let me know!

Well Bia...actually T3 tends to burn away muscle also. Clen has some muscle building properties as well as fat metabolism capabilities according to published research. If you read my "Benefits of T3" post it goes in this a little more.
