View Full Version : Jacked up air Marshall?
MARTYUSA 12-07-2005, 06:09 PM Here's a thought. An Air Marshall on a flight to Orlando confronts a disgrunteled passenger. He want off the plane and states he has a bomb. The air Marshalls do their job and tell him to get to the floor. He ignores them and reaches into his bag. BANG, your dead.
Now, does anyone else want off who has a bomb. WE didn't think so!
Must be steroids........Can't be cause they were justified.
T-Bar 12-07-2005, 06:22 PM This really sucks. From what I've seen the guy was just Joe average nice family guy. He totally fucked up, and I sure can relate to what he was going through. Those fucking airlines treat you like dirt. They don't think twice about leaving you sit on the tarmac for two hours, and then the jerks shut off the air just to save fuel. I fly a lot and there were times in the past few years I WISHED I had a gun!
Now you won't see any change in the airlines or the way they treat people. Instead we'll just end up with more $5 an hour uneducated assholes hired for shit security who do nothing but make things even more stressful and aggravating.
As usual the terrorists are winning because we are helping them.
Korean&Proud 12-07-2005, 07:06 PM my dads done Federal Air Marshal school and it used to be one of his jobs as a security specialist for the USAF. I dont blame them for what they did, dumbass no matter how the situation was or played out shouldnt have said he had a bomb. then proceeded to reach into his bag? idiots and the media are a horrible combination...

Doug_N 12-08-2005, 08:34 AM If they sue they wont get shit. the air marshals did just what they should have done. This is what happens when your a dip shit; say you have a bomb and then reach for your bag.
And they blew up his luggage because they didnt know if there were any explosives in the bags.
bodyhard 12-08-2005, 08:48 AM But Doug I don't understand why would they blow up something if there was a possibility that there were explosives in them to begin with? I mean suppose the explosives that were in the bags were very powerful, then wouldn't that be like the most stupidest thing to do? Wouldn’t they be jeopardizing not only their own lives but everyone within the vicinity that the bombs (if any) could have destroyed?
Also how do you know that he did what they said he did? (saying he had a bomb and then reaching for his bag) If he did act in that manner then by all means the Marshall had every right to react like he did and take him out. But if that wasn’t the case (as no one really knows at this point in time since there were no witnesses) do you think the shooting would be justified?
He was running around reaching into his back pack acting crazy as hell and claiming he had a bomb. What were they supposed to do?? They told him to get to the ground and he didnt respond. They did their job. If a passenger is that ill the airline shouldve been notified of his condition and he shouldve been properly medicated. Im glad the airmarshalls had the fortitude to follow through and do their jobs. Id say they get two thumbs up. It sux that the guy died but it is an unfortunate circumstance of the war we are in. Also they detonated the guys luggage because if he did have a bomb in it any kind of examination couldve caused an accidental detonation.
All in a nutshell better safe than sorry..
Steel Reserves 12-08-2005, 11:12 AM I bet this guy wanted to die, only reason I can think of for doing that. His family's probly got a big life insurance check on its way.

T-Bar 12-08-2005, 12:16 PM I doubt he wanted to die. Turns out he had bi polar disorder. They are wack jobs when they don't get their meds.
Personally I think they ought to shoot everyone who has that disorder. Life would be so much easier.

sounds like you've dated some too, I couldn't agree more
Doug_N 12-08-2005, 05:19 PM BodyHard, Standard Procedure is to blow up a suspected bomb. Since it was out on the runway there was no risk to anyone. They sand bag around it so that most of the force from the explosion goes up.
If the bags were in a dangerous place they bomb squad would have had to put the bags into a bomb container and move it before exploding it. The container is very thick steel with no top. So if it explodes it all goes up and not out!
bodyhard 12-08-2005, 07:23 PM Doug thanks for clarifying that to me.
deathknell3000 12-08-2005, 10:05 PM I'm glad they shot him. One less jack-off using up my air!:was
Chest Rockwell 12-08-2005, 11:25 PM Unfortunate incident and very sad considering the guys condition.
However, it doesn't matter where you are, if a cop is yelling at you to comply and you start reaching into something you're dead.
Uzisuicide 12-08-2005, 11:34 PM One good thing aboit this incident is the 'fabled' air marshalls actually emerged. I was beginning to think they didn't exist. Now the terrorists know the marshalls are there and it will give them pause before attempting any attack. This incident shows that we're not putzin' around with security.
