Post some more of your type of training, age etc etc so all here will get an idea of how to help you out!! ;) Jim65 11-09-2005, 10:51 PM I am 17 and i haven't done any training lately but i used to do reps and sit ups every other night, i did see results when i did that but not as quickly as i thought they should, i haven't done any lately but i wanted to get back into it and i was wandering what would be the best way Galvan 11-09-2005, 11:06 PM Do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach, this means get up at 5 or 6 (depending what time you start school) and run before u put anything in your mouth, and if you just want to lose fat and not muscle run at night, or weight train at night. Eat CLEAN! Mad Dog 11-09-2005, 11:18 PM Your young and you gotta start somewhere and the best thing would be to get down to a local gym and talk to a trainer there who can set up a program for ya! Or if you cant get down a gym then its out there Rocky style and use whatever you can to get resistance training. Get some weights, get some books on how to do the excersises properly...which is important! If you need motorvation try and get a pal to join you. You will shape up ok and the fat will go...your young and starting now will lead you into a good healthy lifestyle ;) Let us know how you get on!! p.s. 11-10-2005, 05:58 AM Your young and you gotta start somewhere and the best thing would be to get down to a local gym and talk to a trainer there who can set up a program for ya! AT 17 you are just a young'un, and as such need to concentrate on building a solid base. This means hitting the gym hard and eating right over the next few years to attain some muscle mass, and only then would I suggest that you even consider cutting up. Jim65 11-10-2005, 09:46 PM ok thanks guys lilmeaty 12-29-2005, 03:29 AM damn.. Im 5'10 and about 180, I must be a freakin fatass!! haha jk. Do you have any idea what your bf% is at right now? Dont neglect legs like I used to.....hit them HARD and eat clean. manimal280 02-03-2006, 07:28 PM Bump to that, make sure you don't become the guy who only works chest and arms. Joeyz 02-07-2006, 12:16 PM training legs is pure torture...but the benefits are great. Your whole body grows. fc3s 04-02-2006, 05:38 PM training legs is pure torture...but the benefits are great. Your whole body grows. especially if you have to get up and sit down repeatedly the next day! but true true, the benefits are huge Quinn2469 05-16-2006, 01:32 AM First, you can't turn fat into muscle; they are two different tissues. But anyway, educate yourself on nutrition. I can't stress it enough. You can do all the training in the world and have the best equipment but if you're not putting the right foods into your body, you might as well not even bother. Find a nutritionist, one who is also a bodybuilder. No junk food!! feeler76 05-26-2006, 12:57 AM Guys, Guys, Guys, ripped? What are you talking about? At your heights and weights you should be cut like there is no tomorrow. Just kidding fellas, i wish it was that easy. I have a simple answer. Build musclemass by lifting hard, eating right(6 meals/day high protein) Drink a shake when you go to bed, then right when you get up. Then carry on your day. I'll only say to look around for a workout, cuz there isplenty of natural advice here. To do it naturally takes serious dedication and devotion. What's it to you? |
