LOL we had a couple on the extremely cushy side come into the dealership and were looking at getting a 750~no way in hell would there be room for both of them on there. The salesman was trying to lure them at least to a 1300 if not an 1800. lol The poor bike....

Softail Deuce Screaming Eagle!

Nice bike T. When did they produce those? 2003 and 2004, I think. As for the Softtail bikes, I like those Deuce's verses the softtail standard or the night trains, and being a Screaming Eagle is even that much nicer. Spendy bike.

Mine's a 2005

Ah my dates must be off.

I can honestly say I love it more than any girl I've ever dated. Is that wrong?

Nope, not at all. MOST guys are very funny about thier bikes. They'd damn near let someone ride thier ol' ladies before sitting on thier Harley's.

Alot of guys are heading over to Montana this weekend for the Testicle Festival. One big ass party and yup, they are serving NUTS! but more that that it's the eye candy that MOST go to see anyways.

Your dates aren't off. I meant to type 2004 but typed 2005 just out of reflex habit I guess. (almost did it again)

It only had 500 miles on it and was in PERFECT condition.

FAT BOY

T-Bar

No, but my son calls me that all the time. Screaming Eagle is the motor. You can have a Screaming Eagle V-rod, Fatboy, Deuce...

Don't know ya T but it looks like you might wanna get a FatBoy Harley next time... LMAO!!

bigBubz
09-16-2005, 06:39 PM
Not much difference in the Fatboy then the standard Softtail, which T's bike is in this family. His is a Screaming Eagle, so the norm that would fit a Softtail Deuce, isn't the same with his Screaming Eagle Softtail Deuce (There's more than just a few little add on's with the SE). Anyways, the major difference between the Fatboy and the Stanard, Nighttrain, and Deuce, is the fat front tire, and of course the fenders, the rest of the bike is almost identical. The fat front tire is really nice and alot more forgiving, you'll have a harder time winding up on your head with the fat tire in front, other than that, same bike. Screaming Eagles are from the custom side of Harley and they can change the frames and do alot of different things to the Screaming Eagles. To say that a Screaming Eagle Deuce is a Softtail Deuce isn't correct. There's alot more differences in T's bike to a standard Deuce, then there is to a Fatboy to a standard Deuce, although the differences maynot be as visible. Anyways Short story Long. Fatboys are in the Softail family, as are the Stanards, the Nighttrains, and Deuce's (Oops forgot the Springers in there too).

My bike is a bowling ball bike. 74' AMF HD Electra Glide. The bike was rough when I got it. Removed the whole frontend and put on thinner custom forks (still with the fat front tire), smaller front fender, and did alot of custom add ons (It looks similar to a Fatboy with thinner forks). It's a nice bike, but it does leave oil where ever it sits. Tore it apart 100 times and it still leaks (tryed everything, including people that know these bikes) still leaks. Oh well. it's still nice, but I don't think I could make it on a real long distance without something screwing up. This is what you get with these AMF'ers. You get to know your bike alot more than the guys with the newer better quality Harleys.

Nice bike Blu. Although I'm really into Harleys and I have a 74' electra, I'm almost ready to buy a new bike. I think the Harleys and your bike is probably a better all around bike, the the reason I'd buy one of these is because I just don't see them everywhere.

Indian Chief

I might wait until they start reproducing them again. The Indian company is now out of Florida. T I also ran into a 2004 Screaming Eagle Duece the other day. Seemed it was priced fairly good too, I believe it was about 19k with low milage. Almost drove it away.

I don't know how your laws are different but in Iowa as long as it's over 50cc and street legal you can take the test on it. We have people rent out scooters to test all the time. A sport bike is easy but a scooter is a no brainer. Might check into it!

Unless you're talking a written test....

how do you liek the new Suzuki compared to that Honda?

Joeyz
06-02-2006, 04:47 PM
Love it...the Gix has such a tremendous amount of power at every point on the tach. You dont need to ride it at 12K RPMS all the time....it truly is an amazing bike. The power takes some time to get used to, but other then that, its heads above the 600.

Did you ever test ride a CBR1000RR?

Joeyz
06-05-2006, 12:44 PM
Yes....2004 and a 2005...basically the same. I thought it was nice...and again, extremely fast. Its all personal preference. I liked the CBR, but I loved the Gix. It fit better, and it felt better.
