Im 16 stones and I really really want to get in to shape this summer or atleast head that way and lose as much weight/bodyfat as possible.

Ive joined a gym and currently waking up in the morning at 9 heading for the gym on an empty stomach since last week and doin 20 minutes on the treadmill, 20 mins on a bike and 1000 metres off rowing .... and on Saturday and Sundays im doing cardio weights. Im also taking USN Xedra Cut Fat Loss pills ... this is since last saturday, i feel much better already HOWEVER .... i just come across this forum and thought i'd drop a post to see if you professionals out their could add on to this ...

So what else can I do without making myself feel uncomfortable or over doing anything? Im also eating 2 meals a day with lots off water and fruit....

Im hoping to come down to 14 stones by the end off my summer holiday in other words by the end off August ... is it possible with the routine im doing?

I don't know what a stone weighs but with that routine and diet you'll be looking like a crackhead in no time.

He's right, you will lose weight but you will not look good. I started out chubby out of High school and have totally transformed my body. Although cardio will help you shed the pounds, I owe everything to bodybuilding. The key is control your metabolism, muscle ups your metabolism greatly. You can't gain muscle while losing weight though, so it's best to do dieting cycles where you try to lose as much fat without muscle as possible and a gaining cycle trying to put on as much muscle without fat as possible. It takes along time to figure out how your body responds to dieting and lifting weights completely. Don't lose too much weight too fast, keep it healthy, learn how to pack on some muscle, eat 6 meals a day, drink alot of water, get your vitamins and protein, sleep, and learn as much about bodybuilding and dieting as possible. I recommend the articles at http://www.bodybuilding.com

That has to be the funniest reply i've ever seen!, seriously scratch the fat loss pills and learn how to diet, they are SUPPLEMENTS, they supplement your diet/training. Get away from some of that cardio equipment and touch some Iron! Once you get diet/training, and cardio working together then maybe start looking at and researching supps if you feel you need them. Its NOT going to happen overnight! Knuckle up and buckle down and you'll be killing by springtime!

The cardio is fine, add some more weight training......and the key to it all is eat right....

for starters you should be eating 4-5 small meals a day. By limiting your calories your body will go into hybernation mode...if you keep your body thinking it has plenty of food it will not try to conserve its nutrients. The way to do this is to eat 4-5 small meals through out the day.....

if you do a search on the site you will find all kinds of info to help you out

So when people talk in stones they're talking in 30lb incremants, is that right? And if demoniC says he weighs 16 stone that would mean roughly 480lbs...correct?

Sorry SR, I was being a smart ass. Round here they call 'Stones, Keystones, as in the beer. That's why I was referencing the 30 pack = 30 lbs. Then again that could be the reference and he could actually be 480lbs. Who knows.
