I used to drop em, But no-one has the common courtesy to look before they step. So now I have to rest em and rock my-self and place them on the deck. I hate the friggin YMCA.

Ya kind of set us up on this one.
No, I do not drop weights at my gym they will through you out if you do. I have to rock them back down no matter the weight

I drop them on my heaviest sets but,only after I feel like I am so tired that if I lower them slowly I am risking injury.At that point I drop 'em like an anchor! :eek:

I can drop them only when my muscles are completely shut down, the last set. I consider clanking weights and dropping them a lack of control. And I hate skinny ass posers who do that.

120 is my best for delts. 100s suffice though. Inclines, 120 because its the heaviest we have. Most of the time I dont do DBs for chest

I guess. Thats how I do things at the gym I work out at. What really annoys me is that some cant just let it be- I mean comeon - the guy was doing wierd shit with 35 lb dbs and some really strange stretches. I certainly wouldnt interfere as he put on a good show

Ok, ok ok! Guys, I'll confess! I have a fused L1 section in my back - which stops me from effectively bringing my knees up to meet the bottom of the DBs. My rotators are on thin ice at times. Bottom line is that its just not worth it for someones sake of silence! lol I wouldnt let em fly if someone was in harms way but Id rather let go.

I am not a bodybuilder. I do DBs as a break from press behind the neck. Im more than happy with my size but I have a quest for strength. I am limited because of my back :( So I can't do all the powerlifting exercises. Its kind of my own thing.














PS. I'd drop em even if my back was perfect LMAO

Just watch Ronnie on his DVD(s). He drops them like they're diseased. But I think he actually bought the heavier DBs for that gym so he'd have enough weight to use. Even so I don't think he'd care.

no spotter and riskin injury I will drop it every time!Only dumbells,squats a few times i dumped it along with heavy deadlifts hit the floor the odd time,like the sounds of weights not gay music that every gym plays.

I drop them but i try to be careful. no more than 6 inches to a foot. i lift in my basement so i have to be careful. there just carpet with cement underneath

One thing that should have been pointed out in this thread is that dropping them like this is not the problem, the problem is guys that dump them. For me this is the equivalent of the fucks who scream when they press them. If you have to be so dramatic then buy a bowflex and get in the garage.

what you do with them type of people is go up to them and tell them "Great job!!" in a sarcastic manner, then pick up their weights and warm up with them or pop out a set of 10

Yeah, i know what you mean. I've been to a local gym a few times. Kinda over dramatic people that just want the attention. Instead of getting the attention being humble they have to get it another way. I was just saying what I normally do.
