View Full Version : Plastic Bodybuilders
Genetic 06-24-2005, 11:47 AM Rite guys and girls is it just me who's sick of these jumped up little fools who join the gym train for a week or two get on the gear straight away then buy the tightest t-shirts they can find and walk about saying there bodybuilers.Fuck me its those type of people who give real hardcore bodybuilers a bad name. They walk around holding there arms out sticking there chests out these guys really get to me,is it just me or are these people a menace! I know we all have to start somewhere but these people arent bodybuilders and they deep down dont want to be they just want people to fear them cause with a shirt on they look big even though its just water retention oh man they boil my piss.Am I alone here?
THUMPER 06-24-2005, 11:56 AM You are not alone, I have had shirts made with various sayings on them such as:
1. Got Sleeves?
2. Get Sleeves!
3. Did you pay for half a shirt?
4. Leave your phone at home!!
5. Yup, that's a mirror!
6. You still buy your clothes in the kids section?
I got a few more but they don't pertain to these retards you speak of. I am hearing ya brutha :)

thats good....
I once went behind someone who had ILS and pushed their arms ro their sides and said.....pretending you have wings is worse than not having them..
needless to say I never saw him in the gym again......LOL
mr.Mastiffs 06-24-2005, 05:29 PM Guys like that have a tendency to go to the other side of the gym when I'm around. Here today gone tomorrow,I train harder through injury than they do on a heavy day!Punks don't ever think I seen one of these guys deadlift or God forbid do a squat. The odd time one will get brave enough to approach me and ask about gear, cycles, prices or "is this real"as they pull out a crusty old bottle of test.I tell them 3 things you don't train hard enough, don't eat enough or get enough sleep as your always at the club holding your breath tryin to impress the ladies, now get outa my way son!
T-Bar 06-24-2005, 06:48 PM I don't mind these guys. They make the rest of us look great.
Korean&Proud 06-24-2005, 07:42 PM I don't mind these guys. They make the rest of us look great.
lmao. I do have to admit though that Im not a freak but do like to wear tight t's every once in a good while. especially when I work out.
does that make me a Plastic BodyBuilder? lmao I cant wait to see the smart ass remarks on this one.

T-Bar 06-24-2005, 08:11 PM I would NEVER wear a tight T-shirt. It's just to redneck for me. I know Doug feels the same way, but that's because even Baby Gap doesn't make shirts small enough to be tight on him.
BioHazard03 06-24-2005, 09:46 PM i do not understand this "plastic bodybuilder" phrase. i love wearing tight t-shirts. it makes me look fucking jacked! plus, it shows off what i've got. i love the attention. does this make me a plastic bodybuilder? i know i'm a bodybuilder. if i learn that i'm plastic...oh whatever will i do? lol.
no, no, seriously...what is a plastic bodybuilder?

Big Booty Daddy 06-27-2005, 12:13 PM I had a training partner that would wear those lycra shirts. I told to stop because it was embarrassing as hell.
Personally I am in a hooded sweatshirt or an oversized T-shirt. I am not there to model. People can tell you are big without stripping down.
You move enough weight or have enough cuts you don't need your victoria's secret gym gear to look good.
i never wear tight tees or train in tank tops,i make it a point not to stare at myself in the mirror unless its to keep myself sqare during my reps,i really dont even look at people in the gym, trainers are always like are you ok or whats wrong man ?i just tell them just gettin my work out done brotha, those egomaniacs are probly the cause of my attitude
Steel Reserves 06-27-2005, 02:21 PM I like wearing tank tops for the looser feel, sleeves bother me when I'm working out.

Took the words right out of my mouth. :yeah
But under all of my long sleeve shirts I have my smart ass shirts, just in case. :)
Italianitis 06-28-2005, 03:01 AM i like to lift in a 3 piece suit.
I just like lifting in basketball shorts, and a plain white shirt. It's not a loose shirt but it isn't tight. it's a undershirt so i don't mind sweating in it so that's what i wear. when they get too nasty towear, i toss them.

yep, me too!!! lol
candyman md 06-30-2005, 10:31 AM I always wear the same thing in winter or summer. I wear a "T-Michael" top, sweat pants and during the summer a bandana and winter a beanie. I look like a total freak. I competed for 10 years and you never wanted to show what you had, because you did not know if somebody else from your gym was doing your show. I say show your muscles off at the beach, pool or when you go out. If you have to stand in front of the mirrors all day, when do you train? I know I look like a freak at the gym I go to, I train with a crazy amount of intensity, part to get a good work out and part because I am 36 and it seems to be twice as hard as it was when I was 26! My cd plare broke a couple of months ago and the gym plays some gay ass music. I still to this day put my headphones on and tuck the cord into my fanny pack like I have a cd player in there. People won't say anything to me until my headphones are out. By the way, the fanny pack is only worn in the gym and was to carry my cd player. It is never worn out,not anymore! New theroy for me is 45-60 seconds rest between sets is the best possible pump for me. Have been doing this for 3 months dropped about 25lbs and went from around 15%bf to about 9%bf. 5-10 @ 225lbs. Feeling better than ever! Although all of my neighborhood calls me the "Roid Freak"! Jealousy what can you do? I look good at the pool. I am at the gym at 5:30 train for a hard hour. If I want to show off at the pool so be it! Peace bros and Be cool!
I lift in basketball shorts and a white-T too. I lift at a very nice facility on campus usually, but during the summer they close so damn early that sometimes I go to a gym that used to be a powerhouse gym last year (forgot the name of it). Anyways the guys are much bigger over there but some of the clothes they wear are crazy. It's like they give you bandanas and pajama bottoms to work out in when you join.
johnnyb 07-03-2005, 10:46 PM I workout in jeans, and a Hawaiian tee. Is that wrong?
:banme
I prefer wearing the same shit I used to wear before working out cause it shows Im putting in effort, if I keep wearing bigger clothes as I get bigger then the ladies wont see any development, thus making all my hardwork NOT worthwhile :)
