I was kidding. I don't plan on selling it. It cost 7k and I plan on getting my money back out of it. I figure it will be worth about 3k each time I sleep in a nice air conditioned house while my neighbor sweats her ass off during a black out. It will be worth 5k the next time I have a big neighborhood hurricane party with everyone enjoying the swimming pool, loud music, and grilling out, except you know who. My ex wife and I get along great, but there's always something about an ex where you get a kick out of stuff happening to them. Well she called up today and wanted to know if our son could come spend the night. No problem. We pack up his stuff and his dog and head over to her house. We walk in the house and the dog heads straight over to the bird cage. The ex had just gotten a bird as a gift from her sister. The dog gives the cage a whack and knocks the bird out onto the floor where it promptly chomps onto it. We've only been in the house for about 30 seconds.

I give her current husband a quick look. He gives it back. Seems we're the only ones who noticed this happen. He says, "Is it ok?"
I say, "Sure, for a dead bird he's fine."
He says, "Quick throw it in the cage."
We walk out of the room.

I say my goodbyes quickly. In the back ground I hear their 2 year old saying, "Shhhhh birdie is sleeping." I barely hold back my laugh. The tears are starting to form from the pressure in my head. My ex says, "You're leaving so soon?"
As I pull feathers from the dogs mouth I say, "Yeah I'm starving. We're going to go home & cook up some Cornish hen."
Her husband snorts loudly and practically runs out of room.
