What a GREAT day today is! Have you ever had someone go out of their way to totally fuck you over?

I have a neighbor, divorced woman in her mid 50's. And a total bitch. Well when Florida got pounded by hurricanes I went out and rented a small generator the first time. Instead of running my air-conditioning I ran only lights & fans and ran an extension cord next door to her house so she could do the same. Then we got pounded again hard and my house got slammed, pool got trashed...so I had a generator sent in from up north as soon as they opened the roads. It was a monster that could run my entire house including the air and pool pumps. It's sweet!

The bitch next door turned me into the city for putting it in without a permit. Then she filed a complaint against me with the city demanding that the generator be removed entirely. Her complaint was that she could hear it from her bedroom and smell the fumes through her window even though it wasn't even near her bedroom. She has a friend in city hall so they were all over my ass.

I'm a really nice guy until you piss me off. Then you're fucked. Anyway to make a long story shorter...today I got my final permit for this generator. They forced me to move it to another part of the house. Through no doing of my own, yeah right, and only because this bitch filed a complaint against me forcing me to follow the city guidelines, the generator will now sit right outside her bedroom window! We're talking 12 feet max! Instead of looking out her window and enjoying the rose garden that was on that side of the house she will now enjoy a 4x6 foot generator every time she opens her shades!

Where it was before I had a nice fence around it so it was hidden from view. Guess what??? No fucking way. It's on the side of the house that isn't seen from the street, isn't used by me except when I have to mow, and is only visible to her house. HAHAHAHAHAHA BITCH!

Every once in a while people get exactly what they deserve. I can't wait to tear out the plants tomorrow and put down that cement slab. The second she sees it she is going to know what I'm doing. She will shit bricks!!!!!

Talk about not thinking...she never would have had to worry about losing power again! We lose power all the time in Florida. Lighting, hurricanes, tornados... Take your pick. There hasn't been a year since I've lived here that we haven't lost power at least three times. Last time it lasted for WEEKS. Do you know how much that sucks when you are in the high 90's???

Ohhhhhhh man I feel like I was hit by a bus. I am acheing all over. My hands feel like Fred Flintstone's when he hits his thumb with a hammer.

But I did it. I moved that damn 1300 lb generator over 20 feet all by myself. Then I dug out all the old wiring and dug another 20 ft trench, glued up all the conduet, rewired the job, and sank and buried the pipes. It took all day to do the job. I was starting to get tired when I noticed the neighbor bitch arrive home. She was pissed!!!!! Oh she wouldn't say anything to me but she was going up and down the street to the other neighbors bitching and moaning. I was so happy. It gave me all the energy I needed to finish the job. Tomorrow an electrician friend of mine is stopping by to make sure I wired it right. Then we're going to crank that SOB up and let'er run! But only if the bitch is home. If not I'll just have to wait and try it later. I'd hate for her to miss out.

Then in about a month from now I'm going to see about getting a dead rat from the pet store to drop down her bathroom vent pipe.

update time, did she try to have it moved yet?

Here's the update. I went out this morning to do the final wiring with the electrician, as I'm not about to stick a screwdriver into a main electric box. The nosey bitch opened up her windows right away. I didn't say a word. I just went into the house and grabbed my boom box. Then I came back outside and aimed it right at her window. I have to say I was damn lucky because the second I turned it on it was blasting the Rolling Stones singing, "You Can't Always Get Whet You Want".

We were busting a gut laughing. She came back to the windows and slammed them shut. They're old school crank windows so you really have to be pissed to get them to slam.

It took us about another hour to finish everything, then we cranked her up!!! It ran sweet. The thing is big enough to run everything in my house, and even the house next door...well...not her direction, but the house on the other side of me. You couldn't even hear it inside my house, however I'm sure she could hear it just fine seeing her windows are 10 feet away from it. Hell she's probably laying in a self induced coma right now.

I ran it for half an hour just to make sure all the connections are fine. I also programmed it to self start every two weeks to make sure the battery stays charged. (yeah, that's why)

So tomorrow I will call for the final inspection and be all done with this crap. You can bet she'll be calling City Hall first thing tomorrow morning.

There's a bad twist to my tale bros. My inspection was scheduled for yesterday. I've been moving through all this with the city because the bitches friend who is the head building official for the city has been in the hospital for the past two weeks. Well guess who's getting out of the hospital to do my inspection! I swear I will sue the shit out of this city if this guy fucks with me now.

They didn't show up yesterday for the inspection but say they are going to come today. I think he's trying to give the bitch time to file some kind of paperwork to stop me.

Well if you filed all the right permits and everything meets code there isnt much they can do legal. BUT you know how politics are so be prepared for some shit. I suggest you have a tape recorder on you during the whole inspection. And record any phone calls that the city makes to you.
It might be a long shot but you just might get something on tape. Like this guy saying "you know the woman next door is a friend of mine and really doesnt like this" Ya never know.

I hear ya doug. The problem is that all code is 'subject to interpretation of the investigator'. Which means they think they can do whatever the hell they want. However, I just had a very interesting chat with a certain branch of our government called the Office of Professional Standards. They said they would be more then happy to investigate this and find out if someone is using personal influence to gain favoritism.

I'm giving them to the end of today to do the right thing. Hell, I've been approved to do this by the City Development Director, the City Planner, and the Deputy Building Official with all communications copied to my attorney and the city attorney. If they dare fail my inspection now then I'm calling the investigator and opening a case by filing a complaint. If they find fraud I am going to immediately file suit against the city.

I'm also going to mention to the State Investigator the wood burning fireplace this woman put in her house without pulling any permits and the fact that I informed this asshole building inspector of this months ago when she first started this shit with me. Yet nothing was done about it.

T-bar the one thing I hate about government and city law is that everything is subject. I built a pole barn and had to get permits and variances and the whole nine yards, took me about 3 months to get all the stuff taken care of. At the planning commision meeting when I was granted the permit and variance, they said this would be subject to the planning commisioner approval once completed. Needless to say nothing happened, but this guy could have been a prick, and said this is not acceptable and make me tear it down. I hope for the best in your case because it looks like it's 2 against 1 in your inspection.
