View Full Version : Supplements while on Cycle shoulderbiggs73 09-16-2007, 09:53 AM I was wondering what some good supplements were to use while on cycle were? I am in my 2nd week of my Omnadren/Dbol cycle. Steel Reserves 09-16-2007, 10:28 AM Are you taking any supps now? If so what? SR shoulderbiggs73 09-16-2007, 10:47 AM The only thing I'm using now is the Mega Men multi vitamin and GNC's Whey Protein. I've been looking around for something, but not sure what to use. All the nitric oxides and other supps are expensive, so I wanted to get some advice on what would be best before I invest the money. Storm 09-16-2007, 11:26 AM Zma DBolMan 09-16-2007, 11:30 AM I use the Mega Men's Multivitamin from GNC as well. I also use GNC's 100% Whey Protein. When I finish my workout, I have a shake using GNC's Mass XXL. I'll take GNC's PM Protein at bedtime. In addition, I take Flaxseed Oil, Glutamine, Creatine, Aminos, 3 tablets that gives me all of my greens for the day, 2 tablets that give me all of my fruits for the day, and Vitamin C. I get the four little ziploc snack bags and write "Breakfast," "Lunch," "Dinner," and "Bedtime" on each, respectively. In the morning, I divide my days worth of pills into each one. I take the "Lunch" baggie with me to work. I find this helps me to not forget what to take. Breakfast Bag: 1 tab Multivitamin, 5 capsules of GNC's Creatine, 2 capsules of GNC's Glutamine, 1 tab Greens, 1 capsule Fruits, 1 tab Aminos, 1 tab Vitamin C, 1 capsule Flax. Lunch: 1 tab Greens, 1 tab Flax, 1 tab Aminos, 1 tab Vitamin C Dinner: 1 tab Multivitamin, 1 tab Greens, 1 capsule Fruits, 1 tab Aminos, 1 tab Vitamin C, 1 capsule Flax Bedtime: 1 tab Vitamin C I take these will my meals of course, with the exception of the Bedtime dose, which I take with a shake consisting of GNC's PM Protein. Storm 09-16-2007, 11:42 AM DBol how much $$$ do you drop on supps monthly? shoulderbiggs73 09-16-2007, 11:46 AM DBol how much $$$ do you drop on supps monthly? I was wondering the same thing!! Storm, any particular brands of ZMA or are they pretty much the same? Storm 09-16-2007, 11:54 AM I don't know that there's much difference, I use ON. shoulderbiggs73 09-16-2007, 11:55 AM ok, thanks Steel Reserves 09-16-2007, 02:14 PM Glutamine too, that should always be a staple in your supps. SR cash 09-16-2007, 08:04 PM i use cytodyne zmass ..multi vits..glutamine and bcaa..you would probally be better off eating fruits and veggies probally cheaper that all the supps you buy. just my 2 cents DBolMan 09-17-2007, 12:20 PM Well, I have a GNC Gold Card, so if I buy during the 1st 7 days of the month, I get a pretty hefty discount, considering most of the GNC brand stuff is buy-one-get-one-half-off and then another 20% off everything on top of that. I spend roughly $150-200 per month on average, but I buy about 2 months worth at the same time to make it worth it, so I usually get about $450 worth of stuff for about $300. I like at it like this: if someone's hobby is rebuilding/restoring an old car, they will drop this amount of money into their car each month very easily. Building my body is my hobby, so I think it is money well spent. DBolMan 09-17-2007, 12:26 PM I do eat my fruits and veggies . . . probably not near enough, though. So, to be on the safe side I supplement. I am a strong believer in that supplements are in fact supplements - to be used in addition to a proper diet and training regimine. I find that with an intense workout schedule and the intake of gear, my nutrition requirements increase, therefore, I choose to supplement accordingly. The supplements for the greens and fruits really are not that expensive, especially when using the GNC Gold Card. It also helps that my girlfriend is responsible for paying for all of the food in the house, so it helps free up more money each month for me for my hobby! Tadger 09-17-2007, 04:15 PM You may wanna look at throwing in some rALA while you're at it. It is a great antioxidant, helps increase insulin sensitivity and should help ya cut up a bit. I usually go with 100mg TID. You could double that if ya wanted... but it tends to give me a bit of indigestion unless I take it with a big meal. espi335 09-17-2007, 06:30 PM I do eat my fruits and veggies . . . probably not near enough, though. DbolMan, do you believe in supplementing creatine while on cycle, or is that like a morphine patient taking tylenol? :) DBolMan 09-17-2007, 06:45 PM I take creatine. I believe it helps me with my pumps, jump starting my cycle as far as gains and strength, and helps with my overall energy. I take my tablets after my workout, with my shake, while my insulin levels are spiked, in an effort to push as much of the creatine, protein, etc into my muscle cells. I believe it works. As far as a morphine patient taking Tylenol, I would have to say that depending on the individual, if the morphine patient developed a headache per se and he/she took Tylenol, it still might work to help alleviate the pain from the headache using a different mechanism/pathway than morphine. Different things work for different people. Ibuprofen works for some, acetimenophen for other, some can take either/or. Creatine is beneficial for me. It may/may not be beneficial to you. It's worth finding out in my opinion. shoulderbiggs73 09-17-2007, 09:26 PM Well, this is what I got and you guy's throw your opinions in. ZMA, flaxseed, fishoil, milk thistle (for cycle), and nitric oxide. I went to Vitamin World and GNC, and Vitamin World had buy one get one free. Would the ZMA be better taken at bedtime or spread out during the day??? cash 09-18-2007, 06:31 AM the zma im taking you chew 3 tabs before bed. Storm 09-18-2007, 03:39 PM ZMA before bed, seperate from your calcium. |
