View Full Version : any motorcycle riders? hugetris 12-04-2001, 08:24 PM i was out in the garage, working on my 94 CBR900RR.. just wondering if you fellas rode bikes. if so, what kind? . later:sniper hugetris 12-04-2001, 08:43 PM here's a pic of my baby.. i added some goodies since the pic.. Titaniumspine 12-04-2001, 10:44 PM This was my bike until some scumbag stole it... I haven't replaced it yet...... I loved that damn bike..... So many stories... Most of them very bad....... Consider Replacements: 929RR 954RR 900F RC51 Yamaha R1 Ducati 996 Maybe an HD, but I doubt it... I love the incredible braking power of the rice rockets.... 0 to 60 MPH in 2.8 secs doesn't hurt either...... LOL! The 5th Element 12-04-2001, 10:58 PM I wanna get a Ducati when i get some cash. http://www.downtownducati.com/ducati/hypersport/images/996sps.jpg 5th T-Bar 12-04-2001, 11:37 PM Here's mine. I love this bike. Now I'm having to sell it because the ex can't, won't, pay her half of our sons school expenses! Maybe this should be posted under Flame? Titaniumspine 12-05-2001, 01:00 AM Damn, I feel for you! You're gonna miss it soooo much..... I sure did.... It still kills me...... Isn't there another way? How much you gonna get by selling? Get another job, it's not worth selling it! crackett1 12-05-2001, 09:42 AM dont have any pics of the bike i used to have cuz i ended up gettin in a pretty bad wreck a while back... but it was a zx650... now if i am wantin' to get myself either a HD Dynaglide or a Softtail... one or the other, if i can afford it i would go to cali custom bikes where i live here and gt one of their cycles.... OUCH if a bike could be sexy that is what it would look like... lol... crackett1 12-05-2001, 09:45 AM hey and what you do is go ahead and sell the bike then after about a week or 2, steal it back from the dude you sold it to... just have to repaint it or somethin... lol... damn that sux bro, if u have another option to let u keep that bike do it... that is gonna hurt when its gone... why is it we miss our bikes more than we miss our ex's???? lmao... TailGunner 12-05-2001, 12:37 PM here's the stock version of mine. I've added a M4 titanium hi sport pipe, chopped down the rear fender, took all the varioius warning, etc stickers and reflectors and rear pegs off and changed out the blinkers to carbon short stalks with clear lenses. when I get a pic of it, I'll post it. buffdiggity 12-05-2001, 01:12 PM Here's an idea. take out a life insurance policy, run the bitch over with the bike, keep the bike, pay for the kid, no more ex...problem solved! crackett1 12-05-2001, 01:47 PM hahaaa i like that idea buffd... lmao... not a bad idea for quite a few other scenarios too... lol hey TG sounds like a pretty badass bike bro.... def post a pic when u get one of it... Titaniumspine 12-05-2001, 02:14 PM TG, why didn't you go with the 929RR? More Power! Yee haw... It is very light, and feels like the F4..... You took of the HO Getters? uhhhh I mean rear pegs? lol I did similar to my 900RR, cut the rear fender down, (gotta love dremel tools), put on a Two Brother's polished aluminum oval port pipe..... ahhhh.... I need another.......... T-Bar 12-05-2001, 11:35 PM Thanks for all the suggestions guys! I have another idea... I could keep the bike if one of you guys would take the old ex off of my hands! Now where did I put those insurance papers  salvation996sps 12-06-2001, 11:54 AM yes there are a lot of iron bros with bikes , i have a ducati and a triumph, had a cbr 1100xx but sold it <boo hoo> TailGunner 12-06-2001, 02:04 PM TS - yeah...took the pegs off when I got the confirmation that the wife would never ride with me on the bike..... DOH!! ripper 12-07-2001, 02:41 AM man i got a '95 Suzuki Katana 600... i love riding. i've had it for almost 1.5 yrs now and i need something with more power... i like the 2002 R1s... those are NIICCEEe.... what do you guys think of the R1s? anyone have one? Titaniumspine 12-07-2001, 02:50 AM R1's are nice... Little more of a racing seating compared to the honda..... Sounds cool, but that few inches suck in traffic! I had a bud with an R1, we actually switched bikes and I got stopped on his LOL! cop let me go.... he said when I put the front wheel down I was doing 56 in a 35.... big deal.... Braking is incredible... I'd go with the honda, but the R1 is a close second.... Honda is a little better for all around use.... Both very refined, very reliable, very fast, very good handling...... hugetris 12-07-2001, 06:11 PM R1 is a bad ass bike.. i like the new silver 2002.. but for handling and comfort, i'd go with either a honda CBR RR or Kawasaki ZX9. I had a ZX7 before my 900RR,, and it handled awesome in the bends.. i love my RR:sniper Titaniumspine 12-07-2001, 07:09 PM ZX9R for comfort? Wouldn't be my choice.... The new Honda RR's handle and brake soooo much better than the older ones, like you have. Don't get me wrong, the initial 900RR's were revolutionary, but big changes in 98 occured.... My '98 was extremely nice handling. I rode the older ones.... I took a 929RR out for a ride too. Seating wasn't as spread out and comfy as my 900RR, but it was lighter and more nimble even... Go talk a dealer into letting you take one out. I can't wait to test drive the 954RR.... Been looking at Ducati's lately..... Insurance is cheaper, cuz less punks can afford them, so less accidents from morons wheelying down Main St......... Awful hard to stop when you are on the back wheel..... hugetris 12-07-2001, 08:34 PM i think alot has to do with your height too.. i'm 6'2, so i'm comfortable on a ZX9.. everyone is different.. i do agree with you about the older RR's compared to the new ones.. the new ones have alot more spunk to them.. but it's just like any bike.. new technology..later:sniper |
